The position was previously held by Phil Jasper, who was recently named executive vice president and chief operating officer, Government Systems, for Rockwell Collins.

Rockwell Collins today announced that its Pro Line Fusion® advanced avionics successfully completed the first test flight on the Embraer Executive Jets’ Legacy 500 mid-size business jet. The flight occurred at Embraer’s headquarters in Sấo José dos Campos, Brazil.

Rockwell Collins has been selected by Boeing to provide its large-format flight displays as standard equipment on the 737 MAX flight deck. The agreement leverages Rockwell Collins’ flight display technology from the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Brazil’s GOL Airlines has selected the full suite of Rockwell Collins’ advanced avionics, including its GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR) and MultiScan™ Threat Detection system, for 20 new Boeing 737NG aircraft. Deliveries of GOL’s new Boeing fleet are expected to begin in early 2014.
