Green Communities Program Announces Grant Recipients
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (June 02, 2008) - A record number of grants have been awarded as part of the 2008 Rockwell Collins Green Communities Program. Started in 2004,
Green Communities has helped fund numerous projects that have benefited the environment in locations where Rockwell Collins
operates.
"Each year, this program gets more popular among our employees," said Cindy Dietz, manager of Community Relations at Rockwell
Collins. "We've awarded a total of 134 grants since the program began and we're seeing a real impact in our communities."
This year, grant awards range from $500 to $2,500 and only projects conducted or sponsored by qualified non-profit organizations
were eligible.
The company selected projects based on criteria including:

Tangible environmental benefits of the project

Sustainability of the project benefits
-
Participation in the project by Rockwell Collins Employees

Completion of the project within the calendar year of the grant award
In 2008, Rockwell Collins increased the number of recipients to 44, up from 35 last year. These recipients represent more
than 33 different locations in five countries:
