RFDU-1968 RF Distribution Unit (RFDU)

Overview

The Rockwell Collins RFDU-1968 RF Distribution Unit gives you flexible radio-frequency (RF) signal routing and distribution over the 0.5 to 18 GHz frequency range – allowing as many as six microwave tuners to be connected with up to eight antenna feeds. Any of the six RF outputs can connect with any of the eight RF inputs at any time without loading down the RF input signal.

Each of the eight RF inputs is buffered using a low noise amplifier that maintains a low noise figure and a 0 dB typical input-to-output gain. The RFDU-1968 uses PIN switches to provide high-speed and high-isolation switching for systems requiring computer-controlled RF distribution of antenna outputs to different microwave tuners and receivers.

The RFDU-1968 is controlled via Ethernet LAN to distribute RF signals based on a simple Interface Control Diagram.
