Flight Information Management System (FIMS)

Overview

Get the flight information management system that offers platform connectivity to both tactical and commercial information sources. Rockwell Collins FIMS is a processing, display and interface system that uses readily available military and commercial applications and on-board data links. Because FIMS integrates with tactical and commercial data links, it gives your air crews integrated in-theater and out-of-theater connectivity to Airline Operational Control, Tactical Air Command Center and other network participants and commercial services (such as commercial real-time weather sources).

FIMS is comprised of a Display Unit (DU) and a Remote Unit (RU). The DU is available in two sizes, is equipped with a high resolution, sunlight-readable touchscreen display and USB and Ethernet ports. The RU is the FIMS processing resource and contains the removable mass storage element. FIMS is designed with a signficant amount of I/O capabilites to faciliate access to aircraft buses, processing elements and communications equipment.
